The varied terrain —featuring coastal stretches, panoramic climbs and rural paths— offers ideal routes for road cycling, gravel, BTT and e-bike. Each itinerary becomes a complete experience, connecting you with nature and the local surroundings.

Begur cycling tourism offer allows discover the Baix Empordà in an active and sustainable way, linking natural viewpoints, traditional farmhouses, historic paths and beaches in a single route. It is designed for all levels, from occasional riders to experienced cyclists, who want to combine sport, scenery and authenticity in a privileged setting on the Costa Brava.

In terms of infrastructure, Begur features a bike path along the ring road around the old town, connecting the main points in the village centre. In addition, there is a greenway linking Begur with Esclanyà, with plans to extend it to Palafrugell. This route, suitable for both pedestrians and cyclists, significantly expands sustainable mobility and leisure options in the municipality.

In summer 2026, Begur will take a further step with the addition of a fleet of rental electric bikes. The goal is clear: to promote more sustainable mobility, reduce emissions, noise and traffic congestion, and offer visitors a more relaxed and conscious way to explore the area.

The municipality will also provide several charging and parking points for bicycles, strategically located at places such as the beaches of Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Platja del Racó, as well as the Vinya de l’Artiga parking area and other key spots.

Begur is best experienced on two wheels: a more natural, peaceful and respectful way to connect with the environment.
