Begur celebrates its two main festivals in honour of its patron saints, St Peter at the end of June, and Santa Reparada in mid-September.
The Festival of the St Peter provides a yearly meeting point for the local population at communal venues such as the town square, the cafés, etc., marking the real start of the summer season!
The Festival of Santa Reparada is held in September, often coinciding with the third weekend in the month, and in a way draws the summer events to a close.
